Places Placed A fighter set directly into a space by an effect. Placing is not a maneuver, so it ignores normal movement rules., places, everyone! The Immortal Bard of Avon puts quill to quire, crafting lines that cut as deep as any blade. Suit the action to the world!

Special ability Special ability The unique rule printed on a hero's character card. It is always in effect unless the card says otherwise.

Iambic Pentameter After After combat An AFTER COMBAT effect resolves once damage from the combat has been dealt. you attack Attack An action that pits an attack value against a defense value to deal damage. Can be melee or ranged. or defend, add your card to your line. When your line has 10 or more syllables, discard your line. If there are exactly 10 syllables, resolve the completion effect on the last card.

Set-specific rules

Iambic Pentameter

Whenever Shakespeare or his Actors use an action card to attack or defend, instead of discarding it, place it face up in front of you to add it to the line you are composing, left to right in the order played. (Cards used to boost Boost Playing a card face down to add its boost number (top-left) to an attack or to power a BOOST effect. or discarded by effects go to your discard pile normally.)

Each card lists the number of syllables in its name and has a completion effect at the bottom. Each time you add a card, count the total syllables in your line and resolve the matching completion effect when the line reaches the required length.
