Terms of Use
These Terms govern your use of The Unmatched Club ("the Service"), a fan-made community platform for the Unmatched board game. By using the Service you agree to these Terms.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old (or the digital-consent age in your country) to use the Service. If you use it on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you may bind that organisation.
2. The Service is provided "as is"
The Service is a non-commercial fan project offered without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee availability, uptime, or that files you store will be retained or backed up. Keep your own copies of anything important.
3. Your content and the licence you grant
You keep all ownership of the images and other content you upload ("Your Content").
To run the Service, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, host, reproduce, adapt (e.g. generate thumbnails), and display Your Content solely to operate and provide the Service and its tools to you. This licence ends when you delete the content, except for copies already incorporated into things you published or shared, and reasonable backups.
4. Your responsibilities
- You warrant you own Your Content or have all rights needed to upload and use it here.
- You will not upload anything that infringes someone else’s rights or breaks the law.
- You follow the Content & Acceptable Use Policy, which is part of these Terms.
5. Storage and quotas
Storage is provided to keep the Service sustainable, not as a primary feature. We may set, change, or reduce storage quotas at any time, and may remove content that exceeds them after reasonable notice.
Sponsor tiers raise your storage quota only while the sponsorship is active. If your quota goes down — for example a sponsorship ends, is refunded, or its tier changes — the files you already uploaded stay available, but new uploads are blocked while you are over the new limit.
If your stored files still exceed your quota 14 days after we notify you, we may automatically move files over the limit to the trash, starting with the most recently uploaded; files actively used by your published content are kept where possible. Trashed files follow the normal trash retention and can be restored while it lasts — provided your library fits the quota.
6. Moderation and removal
We may, but are not obliged to, review content. We may remove content or suspend accounts that we believe violate these Terms or the law, and we act on valid reports (see the Content & Acceptable Use Policy).
7. Disclaimer of warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
8. Limitation of liability
The Service is a free, non-commercial hobby project run by an individual. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service and its maintainer will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for loss of data or content, arising from your use of the Service. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Service and its maintainer from claims, damages, and costs arising out of Your Content or your breach of these Terms, to the extent permitted by law.
10. Changes and termination
We may update these Terms; if changes are material we will ask you to accept the new version before continuing to use affected features. You may stop using the Service at any time, and we may suspend or end access for violations.
11. Contact
The Service is run by an individual hobbyist, not a company. Mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence still apply. If you have any questions about these Terms, please use the contact form.
