The wise princess of Hyrule from The Legend of Zelda graces the battlefield! Like my versions of Link and Ganondorf, this is meant to be a composite version of Zelda taking into account as many of her appereances as possible, but I still had to compromise. Zelda is a resourceful ranged fighter. Her ability covers her when she is low on resources and lets her hit harder when she is all set up. With her DEFENCE CARDS, Zelda can reflect back damage and escape, while her LIGHT ARROWS can make pursuing her quite a bit harder. Her SCHEME cards allow her to plan ahead and recicle resources, while her VERSATILE cards can allow her to block key cards of the opponent and even turn them against their owner. And if things get dire, maybe it's time for an ULTIMATE SACRIFICE. I have already tested the character, but I am open to any further feedback and suggestion. After Combat : If you won, deal 1 damage to all opposing fighters adjacent to Zelda.
Sealing the darkness
Cancel the effect of your opponent's card.
After Combat : If you won, choose a card in your opponent's discard pile. Until the end of their next turn, your opponent cannot use cards with the same name as the chosen card.
Battle Phantom
During Combat : You may BOOST this card.
After Combat : If you were defending and lost, reduce the damage you take by 1. If you were attacking and won, deal 1 damage to an opposing fighter adjacent to Zelda.
Echo
Immediately : Choose an ATTACK, DEFENSE or VERSATILE card from your opponent's discard pile. This card copies the value and effect of that card (apply the effects to Zelda instead of any fighter named in the card).
Divine intervention
Immediately : Your opponent's card value cannot be changed.
After Combat : Draw 1 card. If you won, draw 2 cards instead.
Farore's wind
Immediately : If the BOOST value of your opponent's card is lower than this card's one, ignore your opponent's card value. Your opponent may discard 1 card to add it's BOOST value to the one of the card they played before this effect resolves
After Combat : If you won, move Zelda to any empty space in her zone.
Nayru's love
During Combat : You may BOOST this card.
After Combat : If you won, the opposing fighter takes damage equal to the BOOST value of the card they played.
Recall
Choose up to 2 non-SCHEME cards from your discard pile. Shuffle 1 back into the deck and add the other to your hand.
Zelda's lullaby
Zelda recovers 3 HP.
Ballad of the goddess
Choose 1:
- Draw 3 cards, then discard 1 card
- Shuffle up to 3 cards from your hand back into the deck, the draw the same number of cards.
Ultimate sacrifice
Gain 1 action.
Ongoing : For the rest of the match, Zelda cannot use VERSATILE or SCHEME cards but all her ATTACK and DEFENSE cards gain +2 (this replaces Zelda's normal ability).
Prophetic dream
Gain 1 action. Choose 1:
- Choose up to 2 random cards from your opponent's hand and look at them.
- Look at the top card of one of your opponent's deck, without revealing it, then place it back on top of their deck.
- Look at the top 3 cards of your deck, then place them back in the same order.
